Many ppl in the food justice urban farming blog-"o"-sphere have been in a quote "fervor" abt the recent decision by the ppl in the FJH to change their name to co-op. 4 those who don't no the FJH is seen by many to b the last stronghold of sustainable ethics and food justice politics w/out the negative connotations of dreadlocks/lackofshoes. #nakedhottubbing
Has the FJH sold out to the mainstream 'organic' movement? Has the FJH lost their edge?
Is the new FJC just a organic scum house?
Hz the FJH lost its swag? #caliswag
Alt view point: many ppl still in the food just blog-"o"-sphere believe this may b the 1rst FJ casualty of the post Ironic era. If so, how many othr changes should we expect in this post ironic foodjust world? Is the name change purely out of necessity. Have the ironic connotations of co-op been lost?
DEFINITIONS:
Food justice urban farming blogosphere: This is a legitimate side of the sustainability movement. Stems from upper division college classes and probably working on a sick organic farm in some like underprivileged neighborhood. #caliswag
Mainstream 'organic' movement: Organic dreadlocked by product of the "green era". This consists of the worst ppl u have ever met in your sustainable (insert anything) 101 class, plus their Birkenstocks. They are the worst. #herbalremedies #guyfromcountingcrows
Monsanto: the first FJ company of the post ironic era. #SWWWWAAAAAAGGGGGG
Yo I used to sort of like this blog, but recently its been way to harsh on the organic movement. I think we all need to reconcile our differences and realize that there is an image of organic, and that we should be skeptical of some people who like want to join our movement, but aren't swagged out in berks yadidimean?
