Beer of the Week: Samuel Adams Irish Red

Beer of the Week returns in a glorious fashion. With so much behind us (check our blog soon for a weekend update), we now take time to unwind and review libations for your pleasure. What we have today is  Samuel Adams Irish Red. We picked it up in a Samuel Adams sampler pack, a great way to sample a brewery's many offerings (highly recommended). Sam Adams is an acclaimed brewery from Noah's hometown of Boston, but will they stand the test of Noah and Dan?

Appearance
Dan: Ruddy, like a duck. Like the head of a Canvasback.
Noah: Has a great red tint when held in the light.
Ben: Looks red.

Smell
Dan: It's got a good smell to it, like a brown ale.
Noah: Distinct, strong smell.
Ben: Smells, why do we do the smell section?

Taste
Dan: No complexity or aftertaste, but great initial flavor. Overall very nice.
Noah: Almost smokey, good taste.
Ben: Tastes kinda like honey.

Overall
Dan: While it lacks the complexity, the overall taste is enough for me to enjoy this.
Noah: Generally agreeable. I found it almost comforting and feel it might still be good at room temperature.
Ben: Not bad (He had to go to the bathroom so he did it quickly).

Krunkability, you know the deal by now:

5.8% ABV/$7.99 per 6 pack= 0.725907384

Well folks we hope you enjoy it. And remember, support companies that take pride in their craft.
